Activities

NOARC is currently ramping up its activities department and will soon be posting a list of available events.

Club Meetings
NOARC meets twice a month at Live Oak Baptist church in Crestview, FL.  The second Thursday of every month at 7:00PM is our monthly business meeting where we handle the official business of the club such as planning activities and reviewing income and expenses.  The fourth Thursday of every month at the same time and location is our monthly “tech night” where we really get down to the fun stuff and learn about all the different facets of amateur radio.

Ham and a Biscuit
Come out and say hello the fourth Saturday of every month at 0830 for an informal breakfast and “rag chew” at one of the local spots.  Please check our events calendar for the current months location.

Fox Hunts (aka radio direction finding)
Fox hunts are a great way to practice finding radio signals.  These skills can assist amateurs in locating rogue transmitters as well as finding someone who may be lost along a trail.  NOARC will soon have a regularly scheduled fox hunt.  Keep an eye out on our events calendar for dates, times, and locations.  To get ready, you can check out the articles on the ARRL website – http://www.arrl.org/direction-finding
